Custom Hearing Aid Fittings
Hearing Aid Fittings at Hidden Hearing
To find the right hearing aid you need a professional, personalised fitting. At Hidden Hearing, we make sure your hearing aids are tailored specifically to your hearing loss, your ears, and your lifestyle.
Our experienced audiologists walk you through the fitting process. You’ll feel confident, supported, and ready to hear clearly again.
What to Expect at Your Hearing Aid Fitting
Once your hearing aids have arrived, we’ll schedule a fitting appointment where we’ll fine-tune them to suit your hearing needs.
During your fitting, your audiologist will:
-
Program the hearing aids based on your hearing test results (audiogram)
-
Adjust the settings to match your lifestyle and typical listening environments
-
Make sure they fit comfortably in or behind your ear
-
Show you how to use and care for them, including how to change batteries or recharge, clean them, and insert/remove them properly
During this session feel free to ask as many questions as you like. We’re here to help you get the most from your hearing devices.
Real-Ear Measurements
To make sure your hearing aids are providing the right level of amplification for your hearing loss, we use a process called Real-Ear Measurement (REM).
REM involves placing a tiny microphone in your ear canal to measure how sound actually behaves in your ear while wearing the hearing aid. This allows us to make precise adjustments that standard fittings alone can’t provide — ensuring your hearing aid is working perfectly just for you.
Adjusting to Your New Hearing Aids
It’s normal for it to take some time to get used to your new hearing aids, especially if you haven’t heard certain sounds in a while. Your brain needs time to re-learn and adjust to processing these sounds.
We’ll walk you through this adjustment period with:
-
Follow-up appointments to check how things are going and make any needed adjustments
-
Tips and tools to help you adapt more quickly and comfortably
-
Ongoing support, just a phone call or visit away
Custom Fit and Comfort
No two ears are the same, so your hearing aids shouldn’t be either. We offer a range of styles and fitting options, including:
-
Behind-the-ear (BTE)
-
In-the-ear (ITE)
-
Completely-in-the-canal (CIC)
-

Your audiologist will help you choose the right hearing aid style based on your needs.
